Kotaja

Tuuli and Matti KOTAJA run a small family farm in Vampula, Finland. The fields have been cultivated by Matti's family since his grandfather built the house near the family river in 1917, the year of Finland's independence.
Since then, the family has always grown wheat, barley, and peas. But Tuuli, upon her arrival, brought a breath of fresh air — her first name, in Finnish, means "wind".
The lands of Vampula, swept by the Nordic winds and bathed by the river, offer a unique microclimate. Roses and aromatic plants develop a rare aromatic concentration there.
Tuuli and Matti cultivate their crops with respect and patience, favoring modest volumes to preserve the quality and authenticity of each harvest.
